Hello and welcome! I’m a former physics and ICT teacher, originally from the UK. I traded equations for adventure back in 2002. My journey started in the beautiful Seychelles and then took me to Hong Kong, where I eventually retired in 2016. Now, I’ve found a new home in the vibrant metropolis of Bangkok.
I’m passionate about photography, particularly capturing the beauty of hidden urban landscapes and the tranquility of rural settings. Therefore, this blog is a space where I share my experiences and insights as an amateur photographer. You’ll find discussions about simple photography techniques, practical hints and tips I’ve picked up along the way, and details for discovering less-travelled paths.
Join me as I capture the essence of Bangkok, Hong Kong, and elsewhere through my lens, uncovering unique stories and perspectives, one photograph at a time.

Artificial Intelligence
As the author, I am committed to providing you with authentic, personally created content. In the spirit of transparency and trust, I want to be clear about how I use artificial intelligence.
My Use of AI
Artificial Intelligence is a tool I use to enhance the quality of my content, not to replace my personal effort. Specifically, I’ve used AI in a limited capacity for the following:
- Grammar and Spell-Check: To ensure clarity and readability, I use AI-powered tools to assist with proofreading, correcting grammatical errors, and improving sentence structure.
- Enhancing Descriptions: I’ve used AI to help refine and polish the prose for route descriptions, making them more engaging and clear for my readers. In other words, I use it to enhance the reader’s experience.
My Personal Guarantee
It’s crucial to me that you know that my core content is entirely original and based on my own personal experiences. For this reason, I can assure you that:
- Route Creation: I have personally followed all of the routes featured on this website. I gain the planning and knowledge of these routes directly from my own experiences.
- Verification: I have personally followed each route more than once to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information provided.
- Original Content: I produced and wrote all route information. This includes descriptions, directions, and personal insights.
- Original Photography: I took every photograph you see on this website.
- Original Maps: I generated all of the walking maps provided from tracking my own walks using GPS. I have then personally edited them using tools like Komoot and Google My Maps.
Thank you for visiting Lens Wanderings.com. Your trust is my priority, and I’m dedicated to providing you with genuine, high-quality content that will inspire your own adventures.
